Revived the Malaysian Amateur Wrestling Association with pledges of financial support. Under the leadership of President Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Mydin, MAWREA is now affiliated wih FILA. Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Mydin was selected as the official voting delegate in FILA and shall be accompanied by the MAWREA Deputy President Prof Dr Selvaraj Y Subramaniam and Honorary Secretary General Dr Prakash Gurusamy as official delegates to the FILA.
