Media and Communications Manager for Wrestle Like A Girl

(http://www.wrestlelikeagirl.org) She began with the organization in the summer of 2017 working with Sally Roberts as an intern in Colorado Springs, Colorado while also interning for USA Wrestling. Having played soccer for 22 years and ending her career due to injury at the NCAA DIII level, she brings her devoted passion for gender equality and equity for women in and out of sports to the wrestling world. She believes that sport not only shapes relentless athletes, but champions incredibly, powerful individuals and leaders this world needs. Diaz continues to help grow awareness and educate others on the status of women’s wrestling through advocacy and compelling visual storytelling. In doing so, she hopes to inspire others to join the movement of the fastest growing sport, revealing the promising future it holds for all who are impacted by wrestling.

She hopes to join the many coaching leaders to help further provide opportunities for girls and women through the sport of wrestling. Diaz attended Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colorado and attained a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Media and Communications along with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports, Entertainment, Event Management.
