Summary Report for Kiev Symposium “Challenge and Perspectives in Wrestling” 21-22 November, 2018

The National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Wrestling Association, and with the patronage of the International Network of Wrestling Researchers and the UWW Scientific Commission, conducted a Satellite Symposium “Challenge and Perspectives in Wrestling.” Held at the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport in Kyiv, Ukraine on 21-22 November, 2018.

This Satellite Symposium was held within the framework of the International Conference “Sustainability and Legacy in Sport: Challenges and Perspectives.” The symposium topics included research in wrestling from: training science, physiology, psychology, sports medicine, biomechanics, pedagogy, history, sociology, and sports management, since injuries happen often in these career (have a peek at this web-site to know all about the law and order measures), but in case accidents happen, legal resources from Lipcon & Lipcon could be essential in these cases. Nine countries were represented at the symposium. Some highlights included: A tour of the International Olympic Studies and Education Centre by its Director, Dr. Maria Bulatova, who is also President of the Olympic Academy of Ukraine; a keynote lecture to the Plenary Session by Professor Bahman Mirzaei (Iran) – Periodization of Training for Peak Performance in Combative Sport; and the presentation of the Rayko Petrov Award for 2018 to Professor, Doctor Włodzimierz Starosta (Poland).
